Charlie D is a loyal companion looking for his forever home. This handsome 2-year-old Lab mix thrives on companionship and adventure. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or enjoying the great outdoors, Charlie wants to be right by your side. Outside, he loves to run and play, and he's shown an impressive eagerness to learn. Charlie knows commands like sit, down, and leave it. He’s fully house trained and enjoys playing fetch, although he occasionally needs a reminder to bring the ball back. As he's settled into foster care, Charlie's joyful and playful personality has really started to shine. However, he does come with some challenges. He experiences anxiety and can react when faced with other dogs, bicycles, and small animals. He’s currently on medication and is undergoing training to help manage these behaviors. Charlie can coexist with well-matched medium and large dogs, but he'll thrive best as the only pet, especially since he doesn't get along with cats or small animals. He needs a patient and committed adopter who can continue his training and help him navigate his feelings of anxiety. Despite everything he’s been through, Charlie forms deep bonds and is learning that home can be a place of safety and love. He’s looking for a family that appreciates his intelligence and celebrates his growth.
