Moana is a young female mixed-breed dog of medium size. She's lively and excited to connect with her future family. While she hasn’t been altered yet, she’s eager to learn and adapt with the right training. Moana is currently at the Santa Cruz, CA shelter and is looking for a loving home.

About Moana

Meet Moana, a charming adolescent Queensland Heeler and terrier mix. She's a soft and endearing pup who arrived at the shelter after her previous guardian had an unplanned litter. Moana loves being around people and wants to be part of a family. Transitioning to indoor living will require patience, particularly for potty training and leash walking. Through positive reinforcement training, Moana will bond with her new adopter and learn new skills. She's lived harmoniously with other dogs, mainly those she's familiar with, but she’s a bit undersocialized with new ones. A meet 'n greet is essential if you have another dog, as this could suit her well after some familiarization. High traffic areas, like dog beaches, may overwhelm her right now, so it's vital to prioritize her comfort during the adjustment period. Moana has been good with kids aged 11 and up, but she has a history of chasing cats, so a feline-free home is ideal. She is currently available for pre-adoption and awaits her spay surgery. Come meet her and see if you could be the right fit for this lovely girl. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
