He requires patience while adjusting to indoor living, particularly when it comes to potty training and leash walking. With some consistent positive reinforcement training, he will build a strong bond with his new adopter and thrive. Baru has lived with other dogs, showing a preference for those he's known, but he's a bit undersocialized when it comes to unfamiliar canines. A meet and greet at the shelter will help determine if he would benefit from a dog companion in his new home. Adoption should start off slow to help him decompress; after he settles in, you can gently expand his world. Baru is not suited for high-traffic areas like dog beaches yet, as he needs a calm environment. He has shown good behavior around children aged 11 and above, but he has chased cats before, so a home without felines would be best.
