About Kip special needs
Kip is a little survivor who was found crying in a bush when he was just a couple of weeks old. Thankfully, a compassionate person discovered him and brought him to Pug Nation. The initial arrival raised concerns as Kip had an enlarged head, leading to a diagnosis of mild hydrocephalus, which means there's excess fluid in his brain. We’ve been closely monitoring him since, and he’s been thriving without any seizures or neurological symptoms. Living with hydrocephalus means Kip will need a lifetime of careful management, including daily medication and regular vet visits. His condition requires that he is handled gently, given that he has a soft spot on his head, and his future caretakers must pay attention to changes in his behavior, vision, or balance. Despite his special needs, Kip is just a puppy at heart. He’ll need the typical consistent training, socialization, and supervision that come with puppyhood.
