About Bitsy

Meet Bitsy! Bitsy arrived at Homes Fur Hounds about three months ago, coming from a challenging background where she endured life in a shed as part of a backyard breeding operation. Initially thought to be three years old, our vet suspects she may actually be closer to eight, and the years in tough conditions may have taken a toll on her. Regardless of her age, Bitsy has shown remarkable resilience. Since her arrival, she’s experienced significant improvements. After surgery to remove an injured eye, benign tumors, and a dental cleaning, she’s now thriving and ready for a loving home. Bitsy has adapted well to indoor life; she’s house trained, enjoys car rides, and gets along beautifully with other dogs and cats. While she can be startled by loud noises, her curiosity prevails, and she investigates her surroundings with a brave spirit. Bitsy is a delightful companion, eager for mealtime and loves to bounce with excitement when food is on the way. Although she hasn't quite grasped the concept of toys, she enjoys squeaky sounds. Weighing in at 14 lbs, this sweet little girl is looking for the forever home she deserves. If you're ready to give Bitsy the loving life she deserves, consider applying to adopt her!
