About Haden
Haden reminds us that the best treasures are often overlooked. At just under a year old and weighing 48 pounds, he spent over two months in a shelter, confined to a kennel for more than 23 hours a day. The strain of that environment weighed heavily on him, putting him at risk of euthanasia just when he was starting to lose hope. Everything changed when Bluey’s rescue stepped in. Thanks to a fruitful partnership with Lincoln County Animal Shelter, Haden got a lift on a private plane to his foster home in Moyock, NC. Once he arrived, he was overwhelmed with choices—running around the yard, playing with toys, soaking up the love from all the people around him. Haden has fully transformed since then. This smart, obedient pup is eager to please and a remarkably fast learner. He’s mastered how to use a doggy door, walks well on a leash, knows the command “shake,” and is diligently working on “stay.” Though he’s still getting accustomed to his crate, he’s made impressive progress in a short time. This playful guy loves spending time with other dogs and has developed a fondness for puppy popsicles. He’s even turned heads during his trips to Tractor Supply! Haden is great with older kids who can match his high energy, and he thrives in an active home. His ideal family will be active, providing him with physical exercise and mental stimulation. He would thrive in a yard where he can play ball and enjoy the company of people who can shower him with the attention he longed for. With plenty of affection, Haden could be your one-and-only or share his home with another lively pup. Now that he’s free from kennel life, Haden is ready to embrace every moment.
