Meet Birdie! This sweet girl may be labeled as a Border Collie, but don’t let that mislead you; she’s truly a unique blend, with some Siberian Husky in the mix. After spending 84 long days in a California shelter, Birdie caught the eye of Arctic Rescue, and we couldn’t let her story end there. At around 2 years old and weighing around 60 lbs, Birdie is described by shelter staff as sweet, happy, and affectionate. She adores playing ball, getting brushed, and splashing in the water. Equally soothing is her joy in soaking up attention from her people. She’s easy to leash, walks well, and is always eager to accept a treat. Although Birdie can be a bit timid when faced with new experiences, she opens up quickly when she has a friendly dog by her side. This lovely girl seeks a patient and loving family that understands the importance of providing her time to settle in. She might not fit the typical Husky mold, but she’s more than deserving of a forever home.
