Solar is a large, spayed female Siberian Husky around 5 years old, with lots of love to give. Located in Cottonwood Heights, UT, she's in recovery after suffering significant paw injuries. Although she is house trained, she needs an experienced adopter to help her continue on her path to healing.

About Annauti

Solar is a sweet 5-year-old girl who found her way to a Las Vegas shelter as a stray, suffering from severe injuries to all four paws. Facing euthanasia due to her medical condition, she was rescued by Arctic Rescue and is now resting in a caring foster home. Though we’re unsure what caused her injuries, her paws are badly damaged, making movement difficult. Solar is currently receiving pain medication, wound care, and ongoing veterinary attention to support her recovery. Much of her time is spent curled up in a cozy corner, resting. She tends to flinch when approached and often cowers near her crate. Her foster is careful to take things slowly, providing her with gentle reassurance and the time she needs to feel safe. There have been encouraging signs of improvement: she's started eating, seems more alert, and allows gentle pets. Her ears perk up at the sounds of other dogs, showing small but hopeful moments as she gradually settles in. Its important to note that all Arctic Rescue dogs are marked β€œNeeds Experienced Adopter.” Northern breeds like Solar often have higher exercise and training needs. Prospective adopters without prior experience should research the breed before applying. Click apply to start the adoption process.
