About Takoda
Takoda is a striking brindle Siberian Husky mix with unforgettable blue eyes. At just over two years old, he’s still refining his manners and working on building confidence, but he has an eagerness to learn when given structure and gentle guidance. He’s happiest burning off energy with dog friends—ideally mellow males or female dogs, since that’s the group he gets along with best. If you enjoy watching a game of chase, Takoda is a natural. He’s not a fit for homes with smaller animals due to his high prey drive, and gets along best where the energy is balanced. Takoda is working hard on learning to trust people. A patient, understanding family dedicated to consistent training will see him blossom into an extraordinary companion. He came to the rescue after surviving the California fires and a tough placement at another shelter. Now that Takoda is safe, he’s ready to heal and thrive with the right support. Northern breeds like Takoda generally do best with experienced adopters who can meet their exercise and training needs. Capricorns like Takoda are known for their loyal, determined personalities.
