Meet Sadie! Not long ago, Sadie lived in a muddy pen, isolated from the world with inconsistent access to food and water. Her owner was often away, leaving her as an afterthought. Her only joy came from rare playdates with a neighbor's dog, which helped her experience some companionship and the freedom to just be herself. Now, Sadie has transformed into a sweet, gentle girl who is discovering the comforts of home. She is a love bug, always wanting to be close to her people. Her foster mom describes her as having not a mean bone in her body. Sadie happily follows her foster around, flopping over for belly rubs and wagging her tail in delight. Sadie gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having a canine companion. Her bond with her foster sister, Solo, is strong, and they have fun exploring the backyard and chasing toys together. While she could thrive as an only dog, having a friend seems to bring her joy. Sadie is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys car rides. She takes treats and medications gently, and is settling into her new life well. Loud noises and new situations may make her nervous, but she bounces back and continues to build confidence.
