Rika is a young female Chihuahua, just 9 months old. Sheโ€™s small, weighing around five pounds, and has a beautiful blend of black and yellow/tan coloring. While she is currently working on her potty training, she reliably uses potty pads. Rika is up to date on her vaccinations and seeks a calm home where she can safely thrive.

About Rika D

Meet Rika! This little five-pound Chihuahua arrived at the rescue from a tough situation and is now discovering what it means to be a dog. She's on a journey of learning to trust and feel safe in the world around her. Being naturally shy, Rika takes her time to warm up to new humans. Once her trust is earned, however, you'll find a devoted little sidekick by your side. Ideally, she would thrive in a calm home with no children under 16, where she can feel secure. While she may need additional time to understand that new dogs aren't threats, she might find comfort in the presence of a confident, non-dominant dog to guide her along the way. Currently, we're working on potty training. Rika has made strides and can reliably use potty pads. When sheโ€™s ready to unwind, she loves nothing more than snuggling with soft blankies. It's important to recognize that Rika doesnโ€™t need to be rushed; she seeks a patient guardian who appreciates the tiny milestones of building trust. If you've got love to spare and a quiet home, Rika could be the perfect little companion for you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
