About Chico
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Chico, a small dog with a huge personality and a remarkable collection of quirks. Though his back injury is in the past, Chico’s unique gait sets him apart and only adds to his charm. Life for Chico is best when calm, peaceful, and slow-paced—he's searching for a cozy home and a human who finds delight in the delightfully weird. Chico thrives on soft beds, predictability, and absolute tranquility. Fast movement, noise, and chaotic environments are not for him. He prefers to be carried outdoors for potty breaks and is comfortable using potty pads, especially when the weather isn’t just right. While consistent, he can have occasional accidents if left too long. As for meals, Chico sets his own menu with selective tastes—what’s loved one day could be shunned the next, so flexibility is a must. He is happiest in a very quiet, calm home with someone present often, no small children, and, ideally, a fenced yard for off-leash bathroom breaks. Chico is not a companion for walks, jogs, or fetch, but he will be a gentle, quirky friend who appreciates your company. If you’re drawn to a little dog with a big, wonderful personality and a need for just the right fit, Chico is ready to meet you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
