About Silver
Meet Silver, a 115-pound bundle of wrinkles, slobber, and unconditional love! This handsome Neapolitan Mastiff found his way to our rescue after a local shelter reached out for help. The busy environment overwhelmed him, and now he’s ready for a comfy couch and a family to call his own. Silver is the true definition of a Velcro dog; his favorite spot is right next to his people, soaking up every bit of attention. He enjoys playing with other dogs when the mood strikes, mixing playful energy with his laid-back demeanor. Although he's smart, he can be a bit stubborn at times, pretending he didn’t hear you until treats come into play. Due to his size and strength, Silver will thrive best with someone experienced in handling large breeds who can provide consistent leadership. If you can offer a spot on your couch for a drooly, wrinkly best friend, Silver is eager to fill your life with loyalty and love. He's house-trained and crate-trained, but a large pen suits him best. He’s leash-trained but continues to improve daily, and a fence is required for his safety. Ideally, Silver would do well with older children considering his large size, and while he's friendly with other dogs, he does not get along with cats.
