About Louie
Meet Louie, a 6-year-old Shih Tzu and Maltese mix who’s ready to find his perfect home. Louie has epilepsy and came to Tyler's Rescue when his owner could no longer manage his care. With a laid-back yet playful attitude, he enjoys running in a big backyard and taking leisurely walks on the beach. Although he can be a little nervous in new situations, he’s making strides in becoming more social thanks to his dedicated foster. Louie is resource guard-oriented with food, treats, and toys but responds well when boundaries are respected. He’s calm around other dogs, enjoying their company even if he hasn’t fully learned to play yet. While ideal for an adult home, he may do well with kids aged 10 and up if the fit is right. Cats?
