Meet Kody! This sweet 12-year-old Chihuahua is a social fellow weighing in at about 9 lbs. He exudes an adorably goofy charm, with a wagging tail that seems to have a mind of its own. Kody is friendly with adults, kids, dogs, and even cats. On walks, he'll trot right up to new friends, tail wagging in delight. Despite his age, Kody still has some pep in his step. He enjoys daily strolls of about three-quarters of a mile, and he moves at a pace that suits him just fine. He’s great on a leash and doesn't need a yard as long as he gets to explore the outside regularly. Kody is a notable cuddler who loves belly rubs. He appreciates closeness and takes treats very gently from your hand. As a trusting little guy, he is easygoing about being handled. However, Kody does show some signs of separation anxiety and may whine when left alone. He’d thrive in a nurturing home that can build his confidence. Currently, he's improving his potty habits with a consistent schedule and a belly band. Although he may be experiencing some vision loss, it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Kody is not fond of being crated and would prefer a home where that’s not often necessary. He gets along well with other dogs but can be a bit possessive of attention at times, quickly responding to boundaries. Overall, Kody is a sweet, affectionate little senior who loves leisurely walks, cuddles, and being by your side.
