About Chase
Chase is a striking standard size rat terrier who was rescued as a stray in northern California. At about 18 months old, he stands 16 inches tall at the shoulder, showcasing his long, lean legs. Chase has a friendly disposition and gets along with most dogs, provided they’re amicable. He’s known to pull on the leash out of excitement, so a basic obedience class would be beneficial for him. He adores people of all ages but may be a bit too energetic for very young children. Currently, he is house trained and secure in his foster home, though a belly band is suggested for a brief adjustment period in a new environment. Chase is also car-friendly; he’s comfortable riding loose for short distances but should be crated for longer ones, and he will crate calmly at home. Active adults looking for a partner for hiking or dog sports will find Chase to be an exceptional companion. He enjoys playful interactions with other friendly dogs and would thrive with secure fencing. With the right family, he could excel in agility, nose work, or even barn hunting. Chase splits his time between Boise and Newport, Oregon, but transport can be arranged anywhere in the PNW for the right home.
