About Royce
Say hello to Royce, a striking 2-year-old Golden Retriever who’s nearly perfect and ready to become your new best friend. Royce is energetic and loves to get involved in all kinds of activities like walks, hikes, and especially playing fetch. This happy guy can chase a ball for ages and walks calmly on a leash. He’s also non-reactive to loud sounds like leaf blowers and other dogs, which makes outings a breeze. At first, Royce might seem a bit shy, but a handful of treats or a bounce of a ball will quickly bring out his friendly side. He’s lived with cats and has a soft spot for kids ages seven and up, whom he enjoys playing with. This clever pup knows a number of commands, although he sometimes adds his own flair; for example, asking for “Down” might lead him to roll over for belly rubs instead. Though he’s not a frequent barker, he may offer a few woofs for attention. Royce is okay with walking in wading pools, and he’s adapted well to indoor life, even if he sometimes shows a little excitement dribble after living outside for the past five months. While he might jump to greet you excitedly, he’s generally well-behaved and house trained, but keep in mind he likes to drop the ball instead of letting you take it. Overall, Royce is shaping up to be quite an exceptional companion, ready for a fun-loving home.
