While she’s still getting accustomed to her surroundings, she gets along well with both dogs and children. Skye is ready to discover her forever family in Irwin, PA.
About Skye
Meet Skye! Skye is a lovely 8-month-old Shepherd mix eager to find her forever home. Initially a bit shy, this sweet girl opens up once she feels secure. She might not be a big cuddle bug just yet, but she loves to sneak in kisses to show her appreciation and affection. Skye gets along well with dogs and people, enjoying the companionship of her foster fur siblings. Having spent much of her early life crated and without visitors, she’s slowly learning the joys of the world. Due to her past, she sometimes struggles with being crated for long periods but is making strides with her house training. While she’s doing great, she may still have the occasional accident. Her leash manners are a work in progress; Skye is growing stronger and sometimes thinks she knows the best route for walks. Her foster home uses a front-clip harness to help manage her enthusiasm, and she enjoys taking walks with her fellow dogs. Daily walks would be a wonderful addition to her routine. Skye also loves her chew toys and is still learning the game of fetch. With plenty of time to discover her favorites, she’s bound to find plenty of joy in playtime. She’s current on vaccinations and will be spayed after gaining a little more weight. What she truly needs now is a patient, loving family to help her grow in confidence and show her just how wonderful life can be. Skye has so much love to give. Could you be the one to help her shine?
