About Nala
Nala is a Lab/Rottweiler mix who’s settled into the rhythms of family life and enjoys being at the center of attention. At about 7 years old, she’s mellowed but still loves a backyard egg hunt or a car ride with her head out the window. Her people skills stand out—she’s been around children of all ages, from babies to grade schoolers, and handles every interaction with patience. Nala lets you know when it’s time for dinner or potty breaks, making communication easy. She’s house trained and will head for the door when she needs out. Food motivated, she adores treats after a walk outside and a good snuggle in her crate, which she often chooses for nap time. She does best as the only dog in the house, as she gets resource-guardy with other dogs, though she’s managed peacefully with a particularly laid-back Great Dane. Nala is too interested in cats and should not be placed in a home with them. Chronic arthritis in her back leg hasn’t slowed her as much as you’d expect—she’s adapted and gets around with ease, but a home that’s mindful of this would be best. Nala thrives where she gets attention, gentle structure, and a comfy place to rest. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
