About Chai
Meet Chai! This charming 7-9-month-old, 40-pound Australian Cattle Dog/Pointer mix is a delightful mix of goofiness, energy, and a dedicated belly-rub enthusiast. Though initially shy around new people, Chai quickly reveals her sweet personality once she feels comfortable. With a love for toys, tug-of-war, and couch time—especially when belly rubs are involved—she's eager to train and is treat-motivated. Chai knows "sit" and is both house- and crate-trained. While she rides well in the car and has generally good manners, she still has some puppy tendencies, like counter-surfing or pilfering dirty laundry. Working on her leash skills is a priority, as she’s nervous around them—so patient guidance will be crucial from her adopter. Chai gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a confident, playful canine sibling. While she can get a bit excited around cats, dog-savvy felines would be best for her. Due to her energetic and mouthy nature, Chai would do better in a home with older children. This amusing pup has a special talent: she howls like a songbird when she hears sirens, believing she's answering a call from the neighborhood pack! Chai also has a funny quirk of stealing tennis balls right from other dogs’ mouths. With a fenced yard, a playful dog sibling, and understanding humans who can help her build confidence, Chai is ready for adventures and plenty of cozy cuddles afterward. If you're searching for a sweet, goofy girl with a big personality (and an even bigger howl), Chai might just be your cup of tea. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
