Meet Leia! This sweet senior girl is ready to finally know what it means to be loved. Beautiful Leia is an approximately 8-year-old Chihuahua who came into rescue after being neglected and largely ignored. She spent far too much of her life wondering when she would be cared for, and understandably, she came into rescue timid and unsure of her new surroundings. But underneath that timid exterior is an incredibly gentle soul who desperately wants to feel safe. Leia is learning that she doesn't have to worry anymore. She no longer has to wonder when her next meal will come or fend for herself. She can finally relax, be loved, and enjoy being a dog. Leia needs a quiet, calm home where she can take her time adjusting and learning that she is safe. Her dream home includes someone to be her lap dog, curl up beside, and be spoiled rotten. She’s scheduled for a dental cleaning and nail trimming soon, marking the fresh start she deserves. Leia doesn't need a busy household or a family seeking the perfect dog; she needs a kind heart willing to show her that life can be soft, safe, and full of love.
