About Porter
Porter is a small Chihuahua mix with a huge heart, ready for her happily ever after in Queen Creek, AZ. Life has thrown her a few curveballsâshe came into rescue as a stray and spent over a month waiting for anyone to come back for her. An untreated illness, Valley Fever, caused her limp and exhaustion, but now that she's getting the right medication, Porter is bouncing back. Sheâs become much more playful, showing a sweet and gentle side now that she feels good. Porter is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and microchipped, so sheâs set for her next chapter. She gets along well with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine companion. Porter can be shy at first, likely from her past pain, but she quickly warms up, especially for chin scratches and ear rubs. Her ideal home has someone who will commit to keeping her on her medicine and provide the love and comfort sheâs been missing. Porter is looking for a safe bed, a few toys, and a lot of kindnessâshe doesnât ask for much. With a little patience, sheâll become a loyal companion and a wonderful addition to any family.
