This Chihuahua/Corgi mix is a young male with a medium build, currently in the care of Underdog Rescue of Az. He is house trained, neutered, and has up-to-date vaccinations. He does very well with dogs after a proper introduction, but needs a calm, adult-only home without cats or children for him to feel safe and thrive.

About Archie

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Archie, a 4-year-old, 17-pound Chihuahua/Corgi mix brimming with personality. Though small in stature, Archie's character shines through his energy and affectionate nature, especially once he develops trust. Like many little dogs, Archie can be wary of strangers and takes some time to warm up, but when he does, he forms deeply loyal bonds and becomes an incredibly devoted companion. Archie is house trained, comfortable in his kennel, and enjoys his daily walks. He currently lives peacefully with both small and large dogs, easily blending in after a proper introduction. However, Archie is not suitable for homes with cats or children and prefers the stable, calm atmosphere of an adult-only household. He thrives in quiet environments and feels safest with one or two dog-savvy adults who can respect his space when guests come to visit. During such times, Archie may need to be kenneled, and he is perfectly content with that arrangement. A secure, fenced yard (6 feet is required) is a must, as Archie enjoys outdoor time in a predictable setting. Car rides are not his favorite; instead, he prefers to relax at home with his person. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for adoption through Underdog Rescue of Az in the East Valley. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Archie

Chihuahua/Corgi mixes are typically best suited for homes where they can form close bonds with their people, ideally in a calm, moderately active household. They are adaptable but thrive where routines are predictable.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

They appreciate having access to a secure, fenced yard for play and exercise, but are also content with regular daily walks if a yard isn't available.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

While some Chihuahua/Corgi mixes may get along with older, dog-savvy children, they are generally better suited for homes without young children due to their small size and occasional wariness of loud activity.
