About Big Daddy Hoss

Big Daddy Hoss is a lovable 5-year-old St. Bernard, weighing in at an impressive 147 lbs. He has adapted well to his foster home, getting along with other dogs and even the resident cat. When considering Hoss, keep in mind that St. Bernards require moderate exercise rather than strenuous activity; daily walks and family time are essential. They thrive in cooler climates, so access to air conditioning and plenty of water is vital during the hot Texas summer months. Expect some drooling and shedding, both of which are part of the package. Hoss wears bibs to manage his drool, and regular brushing will help with shedding and prevent mats. This gentle giant does have specific health considerations common in larger breeds, including hip and elbow dysplasia, arthritis, and possible heart conditions.
