About Nana
Click apply to start the adoption process. Nana was found as a stray with her son and is now looking forward to the comfort of a loving forever home. Weighing around 110 pounds, she's a striking Saint Bernard with a beautiful rough, medium-length coat in classic tricolor hues. Nana is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, and heartworm negative, ready for a healthy start with her new family. One of her standout features is her extra-long tongue, which may be due to a quirk of birth or past trauma, but it never gets in the way of her eating or drinking—it's simply her unique charm. At roughly 2-3 years old, Nana is young with a wonderful disposition and a sweet temperament. Currently, Nana prefers the company of her pal Hanky Panky but is open to making new friends. Due to the large size of Saint Bernards and their happy, bumbling nature, homes with children under 5 are not suitable for Nana—for the safety of small kids, as she could accidentally knock them over. While Saint Bernards are not aggressive, this is a precaution for your family's safety. Nana will need to be an indoor companion, as Saint Bernards do not tolerate the Texas heat well. Her new family will also be required to purchase a year’s supply of heartworm preventative at cost and consent to a home visit and microchipping. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Nana
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Saint Bernards are best suited for homes with plenty of space, ideally with a large yard. They thrive in environments that are not overly hot, as their thick coats make heat a concern.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Saint Bernards benefit from a sizeable, securely fenced yard where they can exercise safely, but should live indoors when it's hot or humid to prevent overheating.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Saint Bernards have a gentle nature and are generally good with children, but their large size means they can accidentally knock over small kids. Supervision and consideration for the safety of very young children is important.
