Meet Liberty Belle, affectionately known as Belle! This little 8-pound Chihuahua mix has a heartwarming story that’s full of resilience. After being owner surrendered while pregnant, she gave birth to eight adorable puppies—just a day after arriving with us on July 4th. Now that her puppies are flourishing, it’s Belle’s turn to receive the love and attention she deserves. Belle is a delightful lap dog, eager to curl up beside her person all day long. She thrives on companionship, following her humans wherever they go. Friendly and affectionate, she loves meeting new people and playing with other dogs. Belle may bark at other dogs, excited to say hello, but once introduced, she’s very social. She has also shown herself to be cat-friendly, remaining disinterested when in close proximity to feline friends. Having lived harmoniously with four kids in her previous foster home, Belle is ready to leave motherhood behind, looking for a family that will cherish her. She’s a low-shedding gal, rating around a 1-2 out of 10 in that department. Soon, Belle will be spayed, making her ready to embark on her new adventure.
