About Charlie
Meet Charlie and Buddy, two devoted Chihuahua brothers left behind at Baldwin Park Shelter but saved just in time for a second chance. Despite their past, both dogs show so much hope and gentleness that the shelter staff couldn’t bear to see their journey end there. Day by day, these boys sat quietly, never giving up on the idea that love would return. At around 8-9 years old, they remain playful, affectionate, and deeply bonded—sharing everything from sibling squabbles to affectionate cuddles. Charlie, the more sensitive of the pair, craves lap time and snuggles, but he’s just as happy with a good squeaky toy during quiet moments. Both are easygoing and adore their walks, lounging in the sun, and being close to people. They get along well with other dogs and are sweet with children, making them an easy fit for most homes. If you have the space in your heart and home, consider giving Charlie and Buddy the family they’ve missed for so long. Born in mid-January, Charlie is a classic Capricorn—loyal, gentle, and resilient. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
