About Liberty

Meet Liberty! This beautiful girl arrived at a high-kill shelter in Houston with her five-day-old puppies and faced euthanasia six times. Miraculously, she found a foster before her time ran out. Liberty raised her pups safely, and all of them have now found their forever homes. At two years old and 40 pounds, Liberty is a playful yet medium-energy Cattle Dog. She enjoys walks, playing, and the occasional zoomies, but she knows how to relax and be close to her people. Rather than being overly clingy, she’ll cozy up next to you, waiting for head scratches or belly rubs, loving your presence. Liberty is potty trained and currently practicing kennel training, which is new to her after focusing on her puppies. She’s dog friendly but prefers her space during meals or with special toys. While she can become overly excited about dogs she sees while on a leash, her foster is helping her stay calm. She would thrive in a cat-free home. Liberty enjoys short car rides but can get a little carsick on longer trips. As a lovely blend of playfulness and independence, Liberty is ready for a dedicated friend to share life’s adventures with. She has a bright future ahead and is looking to learn all the things she missed out on before. Liberty is available for adoption nationwide, with a $600 fee that includes transportation to her new home. She's currently being treated for heartworm disease but will be ready to go in early October. Click apply to start the adoption process.
