Meet Waylon! Waylon was found as a stray in Chester, SC, and thankfully made his way to rescue. This Beagle mix is not just lovable; he’s one of the sweetest foster dogs his caregiver has encountered. Outgoing and confident, Waylon is an expert snuggler. Give him your lap, and he’ll nestle in, tucking his head into your neck to soak up all the affection. Waylon is a social butterfly, instantly befriending his foster’s three dogs and making friends with visiting pups, too. He's also cat-friendly, peacefully coexisting with two felines in his foster home. Kids? He adores them—Waylon has happily accepted plenty of hugs from 8-year-olds. With moderate energy, Waylon enjoys neighborhood walks and loves to engage his Beagle nose in sniffing around. He's playful at home, delighting in his toys and showcasing his playful, puppy-like spirit. Currently, he’s learning about chew toys and needs some supervision. Crate training is going well, and he can be left uncrated while his foster is away. Waylon is nearly house-trained and benefits from a consistent schedule. He sleeps in a dog bed next to his foster mom or in a crate nearby at night. However, this curious fellow needs to be watched during door openings, as he sees an open door as an invitation to explore.
