Farley
AvailableThis neutered male beagle/hound mix is an adult and currently being cared for at the SPCA of Northern Virginia. He is best suited as the only pet in a home, as he does not get along with cats or other dogs. As a medium-sized dog who thrives on individual attention, he would do well with a family able to provide plenty of one-on-one time. His vaccinations are not specified.
About Farley
Click apply to start the adoption process. Farley is a handsome beagle/hound mix who thrives on human companionship and loves one-on-one attention. While he gets along well with people, Farley never learned how to play with other dogs, so he prefers to be the only animal in the home. He enjoys walks on a harness and leash, especially when he can avoid meeting other dogs, and swimming is one of his favorite pastimes. A fenced backyard where he can run and play would make him truly happy. Farley’s history includes spending nearly his entire life at the end of a chain, during which he was attacked by another animal and sustained serious neck injuries. Because of this traumatic experience, Farley is reactive around other dogs, particularly while on leash, and he will never be a candidate for dog parks. He is the ideal companion for someone who would love a single dog to cuddle and who has no cats at home. If you’d like to meet Farley, special arrangements can be made for a one-on-one meeting. Please note that he does not attend regular adoption events, and adoptions are limited to residents of the DC metro area, including specific counties in Maryland and Virginia.
