About Blackie

Meet Blackie, a lively 10-month-old, 50-pound short-haired pitti-lab mix. He has spent most of his life in an apartment and knows how to behave well indoors. Due to a shift in his family’s work commitments, Blackie is seeking new humans who can provide him with more playtime, attention, and maybe even a furry sibling to share his adventures with. Blackie enjoys his daily walks—about an hour on-leash—and even loves to play off-leash. While he'd love a yard to zoom around in, he's also content living indoors as he has been so far. He adores toys, playing tug, fetch, and spending quality time with people. His new family will need to reinforce his manners training as he can be jumpy and excited when someone comes home. Blackie already knows commands like "paw," "shake," and "sit,ā€ and he walks well on a leash. He’s friendly and playful with other dogs, exhibiting a healthy, social demeanor. Up-to-date on vaccinations and neutered, Blackie has been cared for since he was a puppy. He deserves a loving home that will continue to uplift him.
