About Pico

Pico is a charming young dog now living in a foster home due to his previous injury. He arrived as a stray with a severely broken leg, which was sadly beyond repair, but after undergoing surgery to remove it, he’s thriving on three legs. At around 8 months old and weighing just 6 lbs, Pico has a lively puppy energy that makes him quite the character. His personality shines through as he’s always eager to be involved, whether it's following other dogs to their crates or showering everyone with affection, especially through licking. He’s currently working on housebreaking and has been improving, although occasional accidents do happen outside of his crate, which he uses reliably. Pico's talkative nature might not suit apartment living, as he dislikes being left alone. He’s great in the car and would thrive with a family who can spend ample time with him, especially if they have another dog to play with. His history with cats is positive, so he gets along well there too. Pico has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Thinking about bringing Pico into your life? Questions about Pico

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Pico enjoys playtime and activity, so having a small yard or nearby park where he can frolic would be ideal. He does well as long as he’s getting regular exercise.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

While he hasn't been around kids in his foster home, Pico's friendly nature suggests he would likely do well in a home with children who can engage with him.
