About Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash has spent much of his young life waiting for a forever home. This handsome 2-year-old, 52-pound Collie/Heeler mix was among the longest residents at a rural Texas shelter before Bluey’s Hope gave him another chance. It's hard to believe such a good dog was overlooked for so long. Despite his time in a kennel, Johnny is affectionate, gentle, and eager to connect. He thrives on affection, leans in for cuddles, and seems devoid of any meanness. Johnny is neutered, dog-friendly, walks nicely on a leash, and is non-reactive to horses and cattle. However, he doesn’t quite get along with cats or free-range chickens—he enjoys the chase! Once he feels secure, his charming personality shines through. Johnny loves the outdoors, enjoys going for walks, and would be just as happy curling up next to someone on the couch. This loving dog craves belonging and needs a trustworthy person to call his own. Johnny is ready to share his heart with someone willing to welcome him into their life. Could that person be you?
