If we could use ONE word to describe Bluey, it would be HAPPY. Happy to meet people. Happy to meet dogs. Happy to go for a walk, play in the yard, hop in the car for an adventure, or curl up beside you for a nap... Nothing rains on Blueys parade. Bluey is about 11 months old and 40-45 lbs. He came to us from the Lincolnton NC shelter after he began struggling in the kennel environment and was at risk. Once he landed in an amazing foster home, we finally got to see the real Bluey — and this boy absolutely LOVES life. At 11 months, Bluey is still very much a puppy. Everything is new, exciting, and sometimes worthy of a little TOO much enthusiasm! He loves to chew and can occasionally get puppy-mouthy when excited, but hes easily redirected with a bone or chew toy. His foster has done an incredible job helping him learn how to be a house dog. Bluey is now potty trained and goes to the door when he needs to go out, kennel trained, walks well on leash, rides well in the car, and tolerates bath time. He has plenty of energy for playing and adventures but also knows when its time to settle down and snuggle. Bluey would be happy anywhere hes loved, but his dream home would have a yard where he can run and play and, most importantly, a friendly canine companion who wants to be his buddy. Bluey is dog friendly, neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and adoption ready! He already thinks every day is the best day ever.
