Some dogs spend their lives being noticed. **Johnny Cash has spent much of his waiting.** This handsome, medium-sized, 2-year-old Collie/Heeler mix spent much of his young life at a rural Texas shelter before finding a second chance with Bluey’s Hope. It’s hard to grasp how such a good dog was overlooked for so long. Despite all that time in a kennel, Johnny is affectionate and eager to connect. He leans into affection and happily accepts every snuggle. There truly doesn’t seem to be a mean bone in his body. Johnny is neutered, dog friendly, and walks nicely on a leash. He’s good with horses and is non-reactive to cattle, but he doesn’t get along with cats or free-range chickens, as he enjoys the chase. Once in a safe environment, Johnny starts to show his playful and adventurous side. He loves to spend time outdoors but is equally content curling up beside his person for some cozy couch time.
