About Roman

Roman is a striking young male German Shepherd who has been through quite the ordeal. Rescued after being abandoned on the 33 bypass, he faced the harshness of summer alone before finding refuge with us. When he first arrived, a mix of relief and fear was evident in his eyes. Shelter life was overwhelming, but once given time to adjust, Roman has blossomed into a friendly and engaging pup. He's still getting used to indoor life, but with a little patience, he shows an enthusiastic spirit for playing with other dogs and relaxing outside in the shade. Roman seems house-trained and rides well in the car, and he’s learning to walk on a leash without pulling too much. An ideal home for him would be with experienced owners familiar with the breed, who can continue to support his growth. While we're exposing him to cats, we're still assessing his behavior around them. This slender boy weighs in at 70 lbs and is neutered. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is eager to learn and grow, consider responding to this wonderful pup's story. Click apply to start the adoption process.
