About Carmen
Meet Carmen. Carmen first came to us after being abandoned in a duffel bag alongside two different litters of kittens. Though still young herself, she raised her babies with patience and quiet strength. Having given so much of herself, it’s her turn to be cherished in a loving home. Unfortunately, Carmen has returned to us once again after losing several homes. This isn't a reflection of her loving nature but rather a search for the right fit. We’re determined to find someone who truly understands her needs for stability and affection. According to her former foster, Carmen is incredibly loving and affectionate. When she feels safe, her personality truly shines. She seeks companionship and enjoys attention, though she's not a fan of being picked up. Once you respect her boundaries, her genuine affection is incredibly rewarding. Her recent adopter noted some playful biting behavior when she got overstimulated. We believe this was due to exuberant play rather than any aggressive nature. Carmen requires a calm, patient owner who can recognize her signals and provide the leadership she needs. While she prefers to be the only cat in a home, she can coexist peacefully with calm, respectful cats or dogs that won’t pressure her to engage. Carmen may not be the right fit for every household, but for the right person, she can offer deep love on her own terms. After enduring so much, she deserves to find a home where she feels safe, understood, and cherished. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
