Lucky is a small male Domestic Short Hair cat, just 3 months old. He's a striking white color and is already neutered and vaccinated. Lucky is house trained and comes from Herrin, IL. Though he has three legs, this lively baby has a huge personality and is sure to steal your heart.

About Lucky

Lucky's journey begins with a sad tale of abandonment. Left alone with his littermates when their owner moved away, Lucky faced dire circumstances while neighbors tried to help. Tragically, he suffered a serious leg injury, leading to a crucial moment when euthanasia was considered due to treatment costs. Thankfully, Thistle Cat Rescue stepped in to save him. An X-ray revealed a pellet lodged in his leg, and after surgery to remove it, Lucky’s recovery became a long fight. Despite initial hopes, his leg didn’t heal properly, and amputation was determined to be the best option. Now, Lucky is a spirited little tripod, radiating joy and energy with a personality that shines bright. He doesn’t let his missing leg define him; instead, he charges around, playing with other kittens at Thistle Cat. Lucky needs a home with another playful cat or dog, or he can be adopted with a fellow Thistle Cat. He thrives indoors or in safe, supervised outdoor spaces to ensure his well-being.
