Rescued from the Memphis Animal Shelter, he is a playful mix of Dachshund and Terrier with a personality that shines. He's currently getting settled into a foster home, where he’s soaking up all the love and learning to navigate life with kids, dogs, and even cats. The transformation is underway. Skipper loves children but might be a bit nippy, typical of young pups in playful mode. He needs an adoptive family ready to commit to his training, including house training and leash walking. Expect some chewing, accidents, and lots of lively energy. Skipper is doing well with crate training; he may fuss a little at first, but he settles in for a nap soon after. His new family should be patient and consistent, providing guidance as he grows. Still too young to be neutered, Skipper will undergo a surgery scheduled for when he’s about six to eight months old, covered by Paws New England. He's healthy, has received his vaccinations, and will continue to socialize in preparation for his future. Once ready, he’ll be making his way to New England.
