About Chief
Chief is a delightful Dalmatian who found himself in foster care after being owner surrendered. He’s house trained and crate trained, happily sleeping through the night in his crate or sneaking onto a bed if given the chance. While he’s great with kids, he will thrive best in a home with older children due to his size and energy. This sweet boy needs a little time to adjust to new environments after everything he’s been through. A typical Dalmatian, Chief can initially seem aloof but has recently become quite attached to his foster family, desiring to be close. He enjoys his walks, though he may pull on the leash at first. With consistent practice, he becomes responsive and settles into the rhythm. He has a loud bark which he uses to express his needs, but he is friendly and welcoming to all humans he meets. Despite some hesitation around dogs, he completely ignored the cat in his foster home, suggesting he may adapt well. Chief would be happiest in a home without other dogs.
