About Chelsea
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Chelsea was found as a stray and sadly, it appears she experienced mistreatment in her past. She revealed her gentle heart while living with an elderly lady, overcoming her initial fear of a cane and blossoming into a comfortable companion. With her adopter now in hospice care, Chelsea is looking for a new place to call home. She is used to the safe, quiet environment of her former house and can be skittish and shy when meeting new people or experiencing change, but she warms up quickly with patience and kindness. In her foster home, Chelsea has enjoyed playing with other dogs, though she has a hint of a bossy side at times. Because of her shy nature, she needs a secure, fenced yard and should always be double-leashed to help keep her safe—she can be a flight risk. Crate training is second nature to her, and she’s highly motivated by treats and food. Although she loves curling up to sleep with someone, she's also happy and content sleeping in her crate. Chelsea has a beautiful spirit and an even prettier appearance, just waiting for the right loving home. Please note, Chelsea cannot be placed in a home with young children. A fenced yard and a vet’s reference are required for her adoption. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
