About Ginger
Meet Ginger, a lovely 7-year-old red merle Australian Shepherd with a charming personality. She lost her owner and found a temporary home with his daughter, who is now searching for Ginger's forever family. At a healthy 36 pounds, Ginger is spayed and current on all her vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick preventatives. She's a medium-energy dog that enjoys daily frisbee play and has great house manners; she’s house trained and crate trained. While she does enjoy her toys, particularly squeaky ones, she might occasionally take a quick peek at what's on the counter. Ginger has shared her home with various dogs, including a young Shih Tzu and a German Shepherd, showing no signs of aggression and getting along well with them all. Her previous owner preferred she have a canine companion, so a home with another friendly dog would be ideal. Although she’s never lived with cats or young children, she enjoys chasing squirrels and would benefit from a securely fenced yard. Traveling is a breeze for Ginger. She loves car rides and has her own little traveling bed. Her calm demeanor shines at the vet and during grooming sessions, making her easy to handle in those situations. Ginger is looking for a loving family who appreciates affectionate pets and has some space for her to roam and play.
