About Mortiz
Meet Mortiz, affectionately known as Moose. This sweet boy is looking for a special home where he can be adored. Moose is a true lap dog who loves to be by your side, making errands a delight with his loyal companionship. He has a calming presence and will quickly claim your recliner as his favorite spot in the house. Although Moose may take some time to warm up to other dogs, he adapts well with guidance from both humans and furry friends. He walks nicely on a leash and is motivated by treats, which helps with training. He's perfectly house-trained and sleeps soundly in his crate at night; although he’d rather snuggle up in your bed. Moose does well with older children who are respectful, and likely would be fine with younger ones too. Moose has some severe separation anxiety, so he needs a family who can spend most of their time with him—ideally someone who is retired or works from home. He thrives on companionship, so a quiet evening on the couch watching a movie would be perfect for him. His foster family is actively helping him with his anxiety, and a supportive new home will be crucial for his continued progress. Moose truly is a gem, and we’re prepared to wait for the right family to come along. Click apply to start the adoption process.
