About Spirit

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Spirit! Spirit is a puppy who doesn't let her disability define her—she radiates happiness and affection wherever she goes. She loves snuggling on soft beds or curling up in a warm lap after a lively play session. Spirit's back legs are paralyzed due to a stable spinal fracture that can't be surgically repaired. While she can't use her back legs or control her elimination, her reflexive bathroom habits don't require extra intervention as long as everything stays normal. Her upbeat attitude ensures nothing slows her down—she's just as playful and goofy as any puppy. This social girl adores meeting new people, especially children, and gets along nicely with other dogs. She's curious about cats, too, though her exuberant puppy energy can sometimes be a lot for shy felines. Like any young dog, Spirit is still learning about the world. She loves to play fetch, bask in the sunshine, and enjoys wagon rides on walks. She's even splashed in the lake! With her puppy curiosity, she sometimes explores with her mouth, so she'll benefit from ongoing gentle guidance. At night, Spirit settles calmly in her crate and sleeps soundly when the house is quiet. She's an ideal mix of playful and cuddly—delighting in both fun and soft snuggles with her people. Spirit will light up your home with sunshine, laughter, and love. If you're seeking a sweet and resilient companion, Spirit is waiting to meet you! Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
