Shy is a one-year-old Boxer/Great Pyrenees mix weighing 53 pounds. She arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender along with her sister after an accidental pregnancy. Shy possesses a gentle and sweet nature, eager to share her love with the right family. This timid girl is nervous around new people, places, and experiences, making it essential for her future home to be patient and experienced. Building trust and confidence will be key to helping her thrive. Shy has a curious yet hesitant personality, often carrying her stuffed toys around for comfort. She gets along well with other dogs but will need some assistance with housebreaking and leash training. Bath time is a breeze for her, which might make her a little more confident. The adoption fee is $150, covering her spay, heartworm test, current vaccinations, deworming, flea prevention, and microchipping. Residents in Sandusky County will need to pay an additional $21 for the required dog license at the time of adoption. Visit the shelter during our open hours to meet Shy; once you have completed a visit, you can apply for adoption. Remember, same-day adoptions aren’t available.
