Found as a stray in Mississippi, Maverick is a gentle and playful companion who delights in fetch and soccer balls. He’s great with other dogs and thrives with social interaction, making him an excellent match for a home with another canine friend. Although he may be a bit shy at first, Maverick warms up quickly and loves ear rubs, showcasing his goofy personality. He’s attentive and gentle with dog-savvy children who can respect his space but may not be the best fit for very young kids. Ideal adopters will appreciate his sensitive nature and allow him to adjust at his own pace. Maverick is fully house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He needs an owner committed to continuing his training, particularly someone who knows that a ball can be more rewarding than treats. After a recent surgery to correct a luxating patella, he’s healing well and can’t wait to return to his playful self. He is up to date on all vaccinations and neutered.
