About Desi
Desi is a charming little lady who recently arrived at The Healthy Hearts and Paws Project after being found as a stray. It’s hard to believe someone could lose such a sweet face. At around 10 pounds, she embodies what it means to be a small dog, and her condition was quite concerning when she got here. Fleas were everywhere, and she didn’t deserve that kind of treatment. Desi is a senior gal who craves the comfort of a loving home. She jumps right into your lap without hesitation—she knows how to claim her spot! Meeting other dogs hasn't gone well for her; she prefers to be the one and only pet, relishing all the attention for herself. With her age, she’s earned the right to be pampered. And let’s be clear: she’s not a fan of the shelter life. The noise and chaos are overwhelming for her, and she deserves a peaceful home filled with warmth, snuggly blankets, and those plush pillows. Desi is house trained and up-to-date on her vaccinations, making her the perfect companion for someone ready to give her a second chance. Bring her home, and she promises to fill your life with love and companionship. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
