This is Bootsie, a 9-year-old sweetheart looking for her forever home. She's house trained, leash-ready, and loves affection from her favorite people. Bootsie does well with other dogs who are not confrontational. She is very food motivated. She weighs just under 20lbs. Bootsie has some sensitivity around being handled — she's not comfortable being picked up or touched on her back and sides — so she's best suited for an adult-only home and having a fenced in yard would be best for her to go in and out on her own. When she does need to be handled beyond what she's comfortable with, her foster slips on a small muzzle and is able to handle her without her acting out. We are continuing to work with her to get her more comfortable around being handled. With patience and understanding, she'll reward her forever family with endless loyalty. Bootsie has a mass on her shoulder. It was needle aspirated at the vet and determined to be benign; it is being monitored for any changes in size.
