Meet Teddy, a charming little guy currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. At about 3.5 years old and weighing 12 lbs, Teddy is a mixed breed with a delightful combination of Chihuahua and Miniature Poodle among other breeds. When we rescued him, he was a matted mess. Now, with his beautiful golden coat fully grown back, he just needs regular grooming to stay looking sharp. Teddy has undergone cataract surgery and now enjoys great eyesight, making him an even better companion. He adores being a lap dog and loves to cuddle, but sometimes he prefers his food in peace, so he can be a bit snappy around other dogs during mealtime. He generally gets along with dogs, especially quieter ones, but can be overwhelmed by overly energetic playmates. Although he is fairly house trained, he is not perfect yet. Teddy walks well on a leash and loves car rides. He will thrive best in a home without young children and with experienced dog owners. His adoption fee is being waived, so now is a great time to consider making him a part of your family. Ready to welcome Teddy home? Click apply to start the adoption process.
