About Teddy
Teddy is a charming little companion currently in foster care in Houston, Texas. At approximately 3.5 years old and weighing about 12 lbs, he’s a delightful mix of Miniature Poodle and Yorkshire Terrier among other breeds. His beautiful golden coat, which was once matted and shaved down, has grown back nicely but will need regular grooming to keep him looking his best. This affectionate boy loves to be a lap dog, always eager to climb onto his foster's lap for a cuddle. Though he generally gets along with most dogs, he can become overwhelmed by very active pups, and might not appreciate sharing his food with others. Thus, Teddy would thrive as the only pet or with a quieter, older canine companion. While he is fairly well house trained, he’s still perfecting that skill. Known for being well-behaved on a leash, he also enjoys car rides and would make a fantastic companion for someone looking for a loyal friend. Adopting Teddy requires an experienced owner, as he doesn’t do well in homes with children under 8. His adoption fee is covered, and he’s fully spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
